As part of Brisbane City Council's Village Precinct Projects, I have been successfully chosen as the artist to develop and deliver the public artworks for the Wilston Village Precinct on Kedron Brook Road. Working closely with the Kedron Brook Business Group and the Wilston community, I will be working towards a curated series of works on balustrades and ground plane designs that will enhance the centre's identity and create a community focal point that celebrates the local history and character.

A workshop for community consultation is scheduled for Sunday 8 December 3-7pm to coincide with the Christmas Fair on Kedron Brook Road. All are welcome to come along and chat and contribute thoughts and ideas to the project.

This blog will document the design and development process and provide a platform for continued community consultation.

As co-chair of the Wilston Village Infrastructure Steering Committee, I welcome Elysha's appointment as our resident artist for the artwork portions of the project. We are privileged to have her, and we really look forward to seeing what emerges.
Yes, come along to the workshop on 8th Dec.
It is good to see our work over the last two years for Wilston Village coming to light. Kedron Brook Business Group, which is supporting this major initiative, has been working with the Federal Government and BCC, and we acknowledge in particular the efforts of Trevor Evans MP in obtaining the first batch of funding, followed by Cr Andrew Wines and council officers, in adding more funds plus the implementation aspects of the project.
